Dear members and friends of the Milton Keynes Mission Partnership

Thank you to those who attended the General Meeting of the Milton Keynes Mission Partnership on Tuesday 29th March 2022 at Christ the Cornerstone. The Meeting was held to vote on the following resolution:

“The members of Milton Keynes Mission Partnership (Charitable Incorporated Organisation 1159204) (the “CIO”) hereby resolve to dissolve the CIO and, after the payment of all outstanding debts and liabilities, any remaining funds will be passed to ‘Churches Together in Milton Keynes Trust’ or to any other charity with objects similar to the CIO to be used for the following purposes:

1.         Promoting Ecumenical Mission in Milton Keynes”

Our constitution allows us to make decisions by general assent.  All members present at the Meeting agreed to the resolution and therefore an application will be made by the MKMP Trustees to the Charity Commission for the dissolution. There is no statutory time limit for making the application, but we are hoping to do this as soon as practicable. We request that those who are current reps remain on the membership list until the charity closes. If you wish to have your name removed from the list, please inform George Mwaura (Trustee), Nicola Vidamour (Trustee) or Adrian Prisk (Treasurer). Once the application has been made to the Charity Commission, notice of the application will be given to all members and trustees within seven days. Subject to any representations received by the Commission, the Commission will proceed to remove the charity from the Register of Charities after a period of three months.

Minutes of this Meeting, plus the Special General Meeting held on 9th March 2022, will be available shortly.

George Mwaura

(Trustee)
